OCAMPO SOFTENS TO THE MARCOSES FOR A SENATE SEAT!

Pressured by the nearing elections Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo softens on Ilocos Norte Rep. Bongbong Marcos. Most sees that unlikely “friendship” as a show of “courtesy” to Nacionalista Party “presidentiable” and current “financier” of both Bongbong and Ocampo.

By the time Villar announced the Marcoses’ entry in NP, his guest candidates composing senatorial activists like Ocampo and Gabriela Representative Liza Maza both pledged to quit their ties with Villar and stay afloat inside MAKABAYAN or their newly-installed political pool Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan. The two were said to dancing the “cha-cha” with Villar, pressuring to choose them over Bongbong.

Seriously, Maza and Ocampo who are both lacking campaign profitability could not survive without a push from political magnates such as NP. Besides, all known presidential bets for next year were all part of Bayan Muna or Gabriela’s watchlist. It was simply a matter of choosing the lesser evil; as they are to choose between their ousted Pres. Joseph Estrada or else mingle with their so-called CARP abusers that is nevertheless headed by Sen. Benigno “Noy-noy” Aquino. Other than, putting a blind eye on Villar’s C5 Controversy, what else could be easier done to get the right amount of political support?

NP, which opened its doors to a variety of interesting candidates that are either Communist-inclined, former dictators or else band of mutineers, is the only fitting political dumpster for desperate Ocampo and Maza to park their candidacies. Villar, who seem to be chasing the odds with his quite troubling “senate slate”, knows of Ocampo and Maza’s squat alternatives. Villar, not giving-in on the two’s (Ocampo and Maza) tantrum proves that he is a better TRAPO. It is quite obvious that Ocampo and Maza needed Villar more. Thus, it is but fitting that they abide by what NP and Villar wants; even if this means swallowing their pride and have the public criticize them over befriending the Marcoses.

SATUR PLASTIK, DI TUNAY NA AYAW KAY BONGBONG

Muli nating napatunayan na isang magaling na artista lamang itong si Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo dahil ito ay nagpaka-plastic sa mismong Christmas party na idinaraos sa compound ng Nacionalista Party ni Senador Manny Villar. Dati-rati ay parati nating nakikitang nanggagalaiti itong si Satur upang itanggi sa publiko ang kahit ano mang ugnayan niya kay Bongbong Marcos ngunit sa nasabing pagdiriwang ay bigla itong kumabig at nakipag-kamay sa nasabing personalidad. Ano ang motibo sa likod ng kaniyang biglang pagkabig?

Sa tulad nating mga botante, isa lamang ang mensahe nito. Ito ay ang patunay na tulad ng mga pulitikong binabatikos ni Satur Ocampo ay siya rin pala ay isang sertipikadong TRAPO na may kakayahang talikuran ang prinsipyo para lamang makakuha ng pogi points sa publiko at media at upang matiyak ang kaniyang pagkapanalo sa dadating na eleksyon sa 2010. Kung dati ay madalas natin naririnig ang boses ni Satur na kaliwa’t kanan na nagsasambit ng batikos laban sa kung sino man ang kaniyang gustong siraan, ngayon ay madalas na natin itong nakikitang naka-ngiting aso.

Nakakaawa na madali niyang nalinlang ang kaniyang mga taga-suporta na mga NPA na hanggang ngayon ay patuloy na lumilikom ng pera para sa kaniyang kandidatura. Lingid sa kanilang kaalaman ay na nabenta na pala ni Satur ang kaniyang prinsipyo at ngayon ay gahamang nag-aambisyon na lamang ng mataas na pwesto para sa sarili lamang niyang kapakanan. Kumpletong-kumpleto na talaga ang ginagawang pagbabalat kayo ni Satur Ocampo bilang “sugo” ng mga NPA sa pagpasok sa pulitika ng ating bansa ngunit sa katunayan ay ginagagamit lamang niya ang mga ito upang palawakin ang kaniya tsansa sa 2010 at upang makalikom ng pinansyal na resources.

Tulad ng isang TRAPO, makikita natin ang kagalingan ni Satur sa pagpapabango ng kaniyang pangalan at ang pakikipag-alyansa nito maski sa mga grupong may salunggat na paninindigan kesa sa kaniya at sa grupo na sumusuporta sa kaniya. Napag-alaman na ang pag-alis ni Satur at Liza Maza sa senatorial slate ni Senador Villar pagkatapos ipasok si Marcos ay isang stratehiya lamang upang ipamukha ng dalawa ang mawawalang boto sa Nacionalista Party presidentiable sakali sila ay tuluyang ilaglag.

Dapat palakpakan si Satur Ocampo at Liza Maza sa kanilang magaling na pagbabalat-kayo at panlilinlang na ginagawa sa publiko at pati na rin sa mga NPA na parang mga puppet na sumusunod sa kanilang layaw. Kailan kaya sila magigising sa katotohanan?

DUPING SENATOR MANNY VILLAR

Stories pertaining to the two million votes proffered by Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo to Senator and presidential candidate Manny Villar are obviously true. This much was discerned following the formal announcement by the Nacionalist Party (NP) on the inclusion of Ocampo in their senatorial slate for the upcoming 2010 elections. According to a previous news report, the so-called unholy offer was brought up during a secret meeting between the progressive lawmaker and Senator Villar wherein the former was able to successfully negotiate for post-elective positions particularly five cabinet posts and several committee chairmanships in the senate from said presidential aspirant, in the event the latter wins the elections.

This was also confirmed by the statement of NP spokesperson Gilbert Remulla who avowed that they had a trouble-free way of completing their line-up of senators being that the aspirants were the ones who directly approached and wagered with leaders of the oldest political party to be allowed inclusion in their list. Aside from Satur Ocampo, Remulla further stated that they were still negotiating with other groups and personalities to fill-up the slate before November 20, to include Ilocos Norte Representative Bongbong Marcos.

If this pushes through, Ocampo will definitely find himself in hot water as he visibly turns his back on his avowed ideology and ideals and on all the victims of the martial rule regime when he decided to side with the son of their former enemy who is also a senatorial aspirant like himself. This current development has inadvertently proven Satur Ocampo’s inherent desire for power and the extreme measures he is willing to take just so he can obtain his political objectives.

Apparently, it was not only Senator Manny Villar who was duped to allow Ocampo into his camp as former Bayan Muna Representive Joel Virador has also “negotiated” with a cousin of presidential candidate Senator Noynoy Aquino, Rafael Lopa, during a mass held at the San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City, to see if Satur can be included in a so-called “rainbow coalition” under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC).

Does this then prove that the real quest of the Makabayang Koalisyon ng Makabayan or MAKABAYAN under which Satur Ocampo is allied is to attain power?
