Absolution usually comes after the sinner has repented and subjected himself to the penalties of his wrongdoing. However, here in our country, politicians tend to change that fact. Ironically, the people even bear witnessing such crime unfolding on their very midst. A good example would be the case of convicted plunderer Erap Estrada, who threw just about the little “delicadeza” he has left by running for the same position he once shamefully led. Other than Erap, have we given a thought on the shocking display of allegiances between known Communist disciples- Saturnino Ocampo and Liza Maza with one of the state’s oldest Political Party? Logic dictates that Communism and democracy are two conflicting ideas. They simply do not mix, since the success of one means the eradication of the other. But have we really given that sad truth a thought?
Ocampo, the third time Partylist Representative under BAYAN Muna was the former leader of the New People’s Army (NPA) Southern Tagalog guerilla front. In the 1980s, Ocampo led the Communist underground and is among those that ordered the execution of around ten thousand Communist cadres accused of treason. He was part of the CPP-NPA’s AHOS Committee who acted as the sole tribunal for rebels believed to be in cahoots with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Part of Ocampo’s magnum opus inside the CPP leadership was the purging operation done between 1985 till 1989 that included the Oplan Venereal Disease that turned Inopacan, Leyte into CPP’s very own killing field that summed 67 known deaths. Other than Oplan-VD, Ocampo is among those liable for the deaths under Oplans Zombie in Southern Mindanao and Cadena de Amor in Southern Tagalog.
The establishment of BAYAN Muna (BM) in September 25, 1999, more than a year before the May 2001 Partylist Group election had Ocampo surfacing from the dissident rebel army. Being elected president of the “introduced” people’s rights group (BM), Ocampo first laundered his identity. In fact, the brute NPA leader managed to set up a publicly “revered” image of having been one of the country’s fierce activists; an idea brought about by Ocampo’s participation during the EDSA People Power revolt. The Communist Party actually stage-managed Ocampo’s “rebirth” as an activist and his entry inside Congress through BM’s wins during the 2001 elections. Ocampo was able to turn his rebel years obsolete and immaterial as he cowered behind BM’s so-called calm protests.
Ocampo never denied his allegiance to the Communist Party or even refused CPP-NPA-NDF Chair Jose Maria Sison’s unyielding support to BM and to Ocampo’s political career. Obviously, Ocampo’s silence is his admittance. It serves a good alibi to keep the public in the dark. That is, as BM under Ocampo’s leadership continue to acknowledge Communist support that includes fund exchanges.
April of last year, MAKABAYAN (Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan) was launched as the independent political pool that house Ocampo’s senatorial bid alongside Liza Maza. Authorities have uncovered CPP-NPA documentations revealing the rebel group’s 1 billion peso worth of doled-out fund for Ocampo and Maza’s candidacies to include their fielded PLGs. About 50 million of said chunk of rebel fund was allotted for Ocampo alone, enough to fuel his campaign. Have we heard another denial coming from Ocampo’s camp? Else, Joma Sison and the Communist Party carry on with their sweet exchanges of correspondence and show of support to both MAKABAYAN and Ocampo’s candidacy. It is not very likely that a “fierce activist” like Ocampo would choose to keep silent on such a sensitive issue if he was in fact not guilty.
The silent treatment Ocampo is trying to pull is not working on Sison’s dissatisfied rebel army. The objections coming from Communist cadres led by CPP-NPA’s figure head – Benito Tiamzon against the all-out support of the CPP-NPA to Ocampo’s political career is something that cannot be easily shrugged aside. The cynicism on Ocampo’s intentions in politics not only unsettles authorities but also of the CPP-NPA hierarchy itself. Why on earth would the CPP-NPA risk stability of its leadership for someone like Ocampo if he is of no use to Sison’s ultimate plot of redesigning our sovereignty with Communist dictatorship? Why is Ocampo this “influential” inside the Party? Should we really turn a blind eye on his connections with the CPP-NPA who is by far the potential threat against the very democracy that we have valiantly tried to protect?
Anyone can venture in politics. This is all part of the state exercising the fullest extent of democracy. But is it not also true that it is being used by abusive honchos like Ocampo? The public for now is ignoring the threat of Ocampo’s entry inside the Senate or even to his collusion with the Nacionalista Party to gain electoral support. But surely, who in the later end would be wailing for help and screaming foul when democracy is being played on Ocampo’s hands?
Juan dela Cruz’s ignorance is what sustains Ocampo and the CPP-NPA’s willingness to supersede our liberties with their tyrannical ideology and agnostic belief. We revolted the idea of TRAPOs and opportunist bastards milking criminal immunities out of their “positions”, and their money-making tricks with the taxpayer’s money. But have we really done something for our defense against their concerted abuses? We should put an end to this absurdity. State enemies who are guilty of murder and democratic laws’ perfidy are no way fit to claim a seat inside the Senate. Otherwise, our state government would match state prison. And by then, things might just be a little too late for us all.

NEW GROUP SPLITS FROM JOMA SISON
Despite the Communist Party of the Philippines’ stubborn posturing that all is well within the movement, a new group has recently severed its ties with the communist group led by its chairman in absentia, Jose Maria Sison. This was admitted by a group that calls itself as the Communalist Proletariat Party-Nationalist Patriotic Army-National Diagraphic Fundamentalist and which uses the same abbreviation as that of Joma’s CPP-NPA-NDF.
In an official statement given to media groups and to emphasize their difference to the bandits who are calling themselves rebels in the country, the general command of the breakaway group has categorically condemned the permit-to-campaign and other relative money-making scheme that are currently being enforced by the New Peoples’ Army in various parts of the country. The group also called this extortion policy as Joma Sison’s commercial instrument which it claims only destroys the good side of the election as it has recognized even the constitutional rights of that of a member of the New Peoples’ Army.
Aside from condemning the PTC of Joma’s cohorts, the general command also made mention of the permit-to-win or PTW – an extortion scheme that the Communist Party of the Philippines feigned not to know about – as a mere criminal act institutionalized by the underground movement to obtain the Party leaders’ own personal interests and to gain additional monetary and material resources as well as control among local residents of a certain area.
Lastly, the breakaway group also tagged the Joma’s forged alliances – made possible by the MAKABAYAN coalition - with local politicians as an attempt to position even corrupt leaders in the government as long as they have obtained the nod of the CPP/NPA/NDF. Further, the new group also labeled the CPP/NPA/NDF as mere “dealers” who intend to deceptively intrude in the country’s governance and therefore should be avoided by all democratic-loving citizens of the Philippines.

SHOULD WE VOTE COMMUNISTS TO THE SENATE?
Juan dela Cruz Loses Fair Judgment
Are we really expecting for the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) to embrace the democratic process that easily? Is their cadre’s entry to mainstream politics a guarantee that they would hold back their attacks against men in uniform and other unarmed targets they have subjected under their extortion schemes, like the private mine firms they admittedly burned-down to ashes for unsuccessful pay-ups? It does not really matter if groups like Bayan Muna and Gabriela continue to hold their peace on their open secret linkages with the Communist Party. The public have had their fair share of political lies; and, Satur Ocampo yelling his innocence on his detested tie-up with the CPP-NPA is no different.
Ocampo has openly accepted Communist contributions for his campaigns through Makabayang Alyansa ng Mamamayan or (MAKABAYAN), an independent political pool that is fielding his senatorial bid. In fact, not later than MAKABAYAN’s formal launch in April of last year, the CPP-NPA has already allotted 1 billion pesos worth of campaign support for MAKABAYAN that included the 50 million shared on Ocampo. If we swallow Ocampo’s hypocrisy claiming that he has no allegiance with the CPP-NPA, why then would he accept the 50M from the renowned enemy of the state? It is common knowledge that no debt goes unpaid in Philippine politics. One way or another, these political donors would have their intentions clear and their favors presented on the table. Just what is it that the Communist Party wants in supporting Ocampo to the senateship when they are naturally against the current political process that included the powers of the Congress and the Senate?
The CPP-NPA has battled forty years to overthrow democracy and install Communist stewardship in the state. Would you really think they would dismiss their efforts that easily and give-up their ideals by embracing the political process they have tagged imperialistic and oppressive? If they have that much faith with peaceful reforms such as the inception of their democratic participation through Communist adherents being elected in government, why else would they continue arming militias in the provinces? If this could be done peacefully, the CPP should have long ditched the New People’s Army (NPA) who would become immaterial as they embrace legit means of airing their grievances. Ocampo on one hand is as guilty of this deceit. Ocampo’s so-called “unlikely” friendship with the CPP-NPA hierarchy, particularly Jose Maria Sison who has been speaking highly of his political career, should have been one good reason for the voters to rule him out in the nearing senatorial elections.
Ocampo is a confidante of the Godless and enslaving Communist –Sison. Try and imagine just what Sison would ask of him as a “return of investment” for the 1 billion pesos that the CPP-NPA had entrusted to his political machinery. Whose interests will Ocampo try to serve? The man that practically funded his dreams and made his senateship possible or Juan dela Cruz of whom he knows nothing about? Besides, common “tao” never rang a bell on Ocampo’s consciousness as he squandered his nine years in Congress without a single law written for the welfare of the marginalized sector he claims to represent. In fact, he helped promulgate 5 bills all natured to tie AFP’s hand in their operations against the NPA. If he was in Congress to serve as Sison’s legitimate alter ego, what else do you expect from him in the Senate?

NP, DIGGING ITS GRAVE! “Millions worth Senatorial Selection”
There is no guarantee that the sudden shift of tides between the Nacionalista banner-Sen. Manuel Villar and militant leader Satur Ocampo was made out of pure political will nor was it an act advantageous for both the people and the state. Since the inception of MAKABAYAN or Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan, future collusion between Opposition bets and the four militant Lower House PLG representatives in the likes of Satur Ocampo, Teddy Casiño, Liza Maza and Rafael Mariano have been evident. In fact, this was part of MAKABAYAN’s agenda during its launching last April 16th in UP, Diliman. Specifically, MAKABAYAN plots four to five senate positions by 2010 in exchange of selling-out Bayan Muna’s 2 million command votes excluding the support coming from its affiliate groups such as GABRIELA.
The plan was plain and simple; MAKABAYAN was to ride-on every presidential picket coming from Opposition. The volatile stature of Opposition bets’ particularly on public favor forced MAKABAYAN bets to scatter on different camps. Thus, this explains why Satur Ocampo was solely casted under NP picket. Materially, Ocampo would be have the huge chunk of boost wherein he would have the capability to dictate BM members on channeling their support to his so-called “foster” family in Villar’s slate.
Obviously, the exchanges of favor would work for Villar who is trying to steer his name clear of graft controversies. Even the 2 million guaranteed votes serve as a tempting offer which a presidentiable like Villar would likely consider. The number counts as the election nears. This had been the fitting mantra of NP as it welcomed a former adversary (Ocampo) among their midst. Besides, political “jump ships” swarm whenever state election comes to its close.
The unlikely partnership may not work for the benefit of former “rival” camps but this serves good to gullible populace. For one, their unusual friendship best explains how fallible TRAPOs are for the sake of ambitions to include “partisan” activists that once raided the streets clamoring for solon’s ouster, and this include Ocampo’s newly-found benefactor- Sen. Villar. Opportunely, the often wrong connotation of militant groups as “fair dealing” patriots can now be straightened out. They are far from political saints. Instead, they are nothing less than the people they once lambasted. They are ego-driven and ever thirsty of omnipotence emanating from Malacañang.

Growing number of people holding doubts on his capability to lead are nonetheless reasonable, especially as he align himself among 2010 hopefuls like Ocampo who prostitute his “comrades” votes for his sake. Political butterflies that activist such as him detested a few years back were seemingly his mirror-image today.

DUPING SENATOR MANNY VILLAR
Stories pertaining to the two million votes proffered by Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo to Senator and presidential candidate Manny Villar are obviously true. This much was discerned following the formal announcement by the Nacionalist Party (NP) on the inclusion of Ocampo in their senatorial slate for the upcoming 2010 elections. According to a previous news report, the so-called unholy offer was brought up during a secret meeting between the progressive lawmaker and Senator Villar wherein the former was able to successfully negotiate for post-elective positions particularly five cabinet posts and several committee chairmanships in the senate from said presidential aspirant, in the event the latter wins the elections.
This was also confirmed by the statement of NP spokesperson Gilbert Remulla who avowed that they had a trouble-free way of completing their line-up of senators being that the aspirants were the ones who directly approached and wagered with leaders of the oldest political party to be allowed inclusion in their list. Aside from Satur Ocampo, Remulla further stated that they were still negotiating with other groups and personalities to fill-up the slate before November 20, to include Ilocos Norte Representative Bongbong Marcos.
If this pushes through, Ocampo will definitely find himself in hot water as he visibly turns his back on his avowed ideology and ideals and on all the victims of the martial rule regime when he decided to side with the son of their former enemy who is also a senatorial aspirant like himself. This current development has inadvertently proven Satur Ocampo’s inherent desire for power and the extreme measures he is willing to take just so he can obtain his political objectives.
Apparently, it was not only Senator Manny Villar who was duped to allow Ocampo into his camp as former Bayan Muna Representive Joel Virador has also “negotiated” with a cousin of presidential candidate Senator Noynoy Aquino, Rafael Lopa, during a mass held at the San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City, to see if Satur can be included in a so-called “rainbow coalition” under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC).

NPA’s PRE-MEDITATED EXTORT SCHEME FOR MAKABAYAN
Shortly after Jose Maria Sison’s all-out support to the so-called newbie Political Party by 2010- Mamamayang Koalisyon ng Makabayan (MAKABAYAN), his co-founded Communist Party of Philippines readily guaranteed a total of one billion pesos to pump-up its fund machinery. Interestingly, in a month’s time, NPA”s protection rackets against local industrial firms in the provinces had also skyrocketed. Last Saturday (August 30), DOLE-Stanfilco’s hired ten-wheeled trucks were burned in Alamada by around forty heavily armed Communist insurgents under its Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC). The incident occurred periodical just as the management continually refuse to pay-up Reds’ forced revolutionary tax. As expected this was also coupled with the random harassments of Globe Telecom Cellsites around the Bicol region and mining firms across Negros Occidental.
Schematically, the NPAs are trying to shift their resource build-up and recruitment for MAKABAYAN’s campaign drives. Other than the one billion pesos, that had been causing stirs amongst the CPP-NPA hierarchy particularly between the opposing camps of Sison and Benito Tiamzon, a fail-safe ratio of voters are also funneled-down by the Communist army to MAKABAYAN senatoriables. Obviously, these would also include gun-pointing and vote-selling within Reds’ threatened localities nationwide.
Other than condemning the act, Sison prided himself of the heinous act and even asserted that it was the people’s mandate. That is, as how he defended the NPA’s continued offensives.
Fueling MAKABAYAN’s senatoriables that in return cost indiscriminate violence is what Sison proposes. The armed militia is doing all the dirty works for Sison. And sadly, they have been doing this while they continually starve after having been listed last on the CPP’s priorities. So far, the Davao area based Reds had been suffering depleting recruits out of starvation. That is, despite their contributions to the CPP-NPA’s heightened extortion schemes. Even the Bicol Regional Party Committee (BRPC), which had been heading the militia army in Region 5, was also losing its armed strength due to exhausting logistics. All thanks to MAKABAYAN political ambitions, the CPP is drained from the inside. Mutineers, just like the rejectionist faction led by Romulo Kintanar before, are again an inevitable menace that would be crippling Sison’s Maoist armies.
Is this what MAKABAYAN’s patriotic banner is all about? That they feed on insurgents to win seats for 2010? Or else, is this all part of the Communist Party’s move to gain grounds on mainstream politics using their moles in the likes of Satur Ocampo? Besides, this scenario runs parallel to Sison’s former declarations of having their primary Maoist strategy complemented with their far non-violent moves in the legal arena. Which undeniably, is the main reason why until now the left-leaning MAKABAYAN had not denounced NPA’s atrocious initiatives nationwide despite their willingness to participate this coming election? Democratic processes incessantly abused by the CPP-NPA-NDF. Unfortunately, instead of hammering them down, our government is bending all laws possible to amicably settle the decades-long dispute. Extorts will continue to prevail and it is deemed to rise. MAKABAYAN will get richer enough to assure them wins for 2010. CPP would live-on and its harassments will balloon. The Filipino people are the ones on the losing end.

Fueling MAKABAYAN’s senatoriables that in return cost indiscriminate violence is what Sison proposes. The armed militia is doing all the dirty works for Sison. And sadly, they have been doing this while they continually starve after having been listed last on the CPP’s priorities. So far, the Davao area based Reds had been suffering depleting recruits out of starvation. That is, despite their contributions to the CPP-NPA’s heightened extortion schemes. Even the Bicol Regional Party Committee (BRPC), which had been heading the militia army in Region 5, was also losing its armed strength due to exhausting logistics. All thanks to MAKABAYAN political ambitions, the CPP is drained from the inside. Mutineers, just like the rejectionist faction led by Romulo Kintanar before, are again an inevitable menace that would be crippling Sison’s Maoist armies.
Is this what MAKABAYAN’s patriotic banner is all about? That they feed on insurgents to win seats for 2010? Or else, is this all part of the Communist Party’s move to gain grounds on mainstream politics using their moles in the likes of Satur Ocampo? Besides, this scenario runs parallel to Sison’s former declarations of having their primary Maoist strategy complemented with their far non-violent moves in the legal arena. Which undeniably, is the main reason why until now the left-leaning MAKABAYAN had not denounced NPA’s atrocious initiatives nationwide despite their willingness to participate this coming election? Democratic processes incessantly abused by the CPP-NPA-NDF. Unfortunately, instead of hammering them down, our government is bending all laws possible to amicably settle the decades-long dispute. Extorts will continue to prevail and it is deemed to rise. MAKABAYAN will get richer enough to assure them wins for 2010. CPP would live-on and its harassments will balloon. The Filipino people are the ones on the losing end.

PHILIPPINES MORE AT RISK WITH THE MAKABAYAN
The 2010 elections will mark anew in the history of the Philippine Revolutionary left because of CPP’s obvious attempt to reverse its outmoded strategy with the formation of MAKABAYAN coalition for 2010 elections. Although the CPP leadership does not categorically say so, the movement seems to be in the verge of paradigm shifting from armed struggle into electoral struggle with the formation of the MAKABAYAN. The shift is highly possible because for 40 years of existence, the movement still fails to convert the Philippines into a communist state under its conventional armed struggle over any other forms of revolutionary struggle. The formation of MAKABAYAN is an indication that the CPP has been seriously venturing into the mainstream politics utilizing the political parties that would coalesce with them. The victories of the CPP-MAKABAYAN-supported candidates will give the movement a bulk of opportunities to creep into government machineries and participate in governance.
Although we see the scenario as a desperate move on the part of the CPP leadership, this may however irrepressible once they succeeded in placing their comrades in the government. That is why the MAKABAYAN is now pursuing the candidacy of Satur Ocampo, Teddy Casiño and Liza Maza in the Senate. It is ironic because Satur, Teddy and Liza who just rose and made popular in joining the rallies and demonstrations, are now seeking to become Senators of the Republic of the Philippines in the guise of reforming the government. How can they transform a government that has been their subject of destruction for decades? And the worse is they are now seeking to continue their masquerade in the Senate.
The question now lies on what will happen to the New People’s Army who devoted long years of their lives fighting for the Party’s ideology and belief. Will their sacrifices be put in vain when Ocampo, Casiño and Maza are already at the Senate? The NPAs are the ones who sacrifice so much for the CPP’s principle and aspiration because they gamble their lives during ambushes and encounters and always at the frontline persuading the people to join the movement. Despite their effort however, it is Ocampo, Casino and Maza who have benefited most out of the CPP. Will they just allow Ocampo, Casino and Maza to continue to use the CPP for their political ambitions?
Another important question will now be on the Filipino people whether they like Ocampo, Casiño and Maza to continue impairing democracy in the Senate or end their disastrous political fate by non-voting them in May 2010 elections. We must be mindful that these individuals whatever positions they may have in the government, they will continue to oppose any government building efforts regardless of whoever the President is. Their effort will end only when the Filipino people get united in 2010 elections to totally prevent them from entering into any elective position in the government. The 2010 election would be very decisive because aside from electing the 15th president of the republic, the CPP through the MAKABAYAN openly endorse candidates for elective posts which put the country’s democracy institution at peril.

A LONG JOURNEY OF MAKABAYAN
The Pulse Asia released its latest survey on the senatorial preferences for the upcoming 2010 elections. It was conducted from July 28 to August 10, 2009 with a number of 1,800 respondents. As a result, Senator Jinggoy Estrada topped the firm’s survey if elections were held today. Estrada got an amazing number of votes gaining half of the percentage votes (50.2%). The survey results showed the 14 out of the 71 aspirants who have a possible chance of winning the Senate seats.
The possible elected senatorial candidates are as follow: Senator Mar Roxas(48%) came in second rank followed by Pia Cayetano (46.6%), Bong Revilla (46.4%), Franklin Drilon (46.3%), Miriam Santiago (45.2%), Jamby Madrigal (38.9%), Ralph Recto (37.6%), Jejomar Binay (37.5%), Koko Pimentel (36.1%), Edu Manzano (34.9%) and Juan Ponce Enrile (32.1%).
Considering the top 12 possible winners of the senatorial seats, the MAKABAYAN senatorial candidates need to soar high as they landed almost near the last spot. According to the result, Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo got 4.8% votes while Bayan Muna Representative Teddy Casiňo only got 3% votes.
A year ago, the same survey has been made by Issues and Advocacy Center. It showed that among 1,200 respondent Ocampo had 9% votes, Casiňo has 5% votes while Maza has 4% votes.
It is clearly seen that MAKABAYAN candidates got the least possibility of winning the senatorial race yet they are still confident enough to continue what they have started. Ocampo and group are in pursuit of power that can be attained by winning a senatorial seat. However, as the survey suggests they need to have another strategy in getting a position in the government. Therefore, they have resorted to negotiating with presidential hopefuls by offering 2M command votes from their alleged supporters for the 2010 elections in exchange of 5 assured cabinet posts. No sure candidate would actually fall for this, of course.
More troubling perhaps is the actual candidacy of Ocampo. No one seems to be against his candidacy in the senatorial race even though he clearly has not shown a stand against denouncing the issue of armed struggle of the Communist Party of the Philippines. In fact, he is outrightly embracing and promoting the idea as a complement to the legal struggle of his party. In present day Philippines, is there really a place for armed struggle? Shouldn’t our senators promote peace and unity instead of violence and war?

SATUR FOR SENATOR- ISANG STRATEHIYA
Kulelat ang pwestong nakuha ng mga militanteng representate na sila Satur Ocampo at Teddy Casiño, parehong mula sa Bayan Muna pati ni Liza Masa ng Gabriela Women’s Party sa pinakahuling survey na inilabas ng Pulse Asia kamakailan lamang. Ayon sa “Ulat ng Bayan” na resulta ng isang survey na ginanap mula July 28 hanggang August 10, 2009 sa buong bansa ay nasa pinakahuling rank ang tatlong militante na pare-parehong nagpahiwatig ng planong pagtakbo bilang mga bagong senatoriables sa dadating na eleksyon sa Mayo 2010.
Bagamat kilalang-kilala na ng publiko bilang mga kontra-Arroyo at nangunguna sa mga kaliwa’t kanang kilos protesta sa kalsada ay nagmistulang nuisance candidates ang nasabing mga mambabatas na ito sa naging resulta ng naturang survey.

SECRET BEHIND MAKABAYAN’S PRESIDENTIAL ENDORSEMENT, EXPOSED
Apparently, there is more to the new political party that was recently registered by Representatives Satur Ocampo, Liza Masa and Teddy Casiño at the Commission on Elections than meets the eye. This much was deciphered from a recovered document pertaining to the Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan or MAKABAYAN which the ten-page paper further revealed was originally slated to be called People’s Democratic Coalition.
According to said document the Makabayan, first conceptualized by the Communist Party of the Philippines on Sept. 15, 2008 and subsequently approved during a party meeting in Southern Tagalog on Dec. 21, 2008, was specifically created to fast track the Party’s plan of destroying the government from within. A quote from the document as seen below proves that they plan to implement this through the direct fielding of their own party list groups and senatorial aspirants to include supportive and allied political candidates from the congressional down to mayoralty posts.

MAR ABSTAINING FROM OCAMPO’S BARGAIN, A WISE DECISION
Sen. Mar Roxas’ refusal on Satur Ocampo’s 2 million guaranteed votes in exchange for five post-election positions and Senate chairmanship by the time Liberal Party bags the presidency by 2010 has been the wisest decision eager presidentiables made so far. Ocampo, who is under the Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan or MAKABAYAN, was said to be bargaining BAYAN Muna and its affiliate PLG’s votes in return for a fall-back once he, Masa and Casiño lose the senate seat. Other than Roxas, Sen. Manuel Villar and ex-Pres Erap Estrada may have also been given the same offer. Apart from such, is the formerly disclosed plan of MAKABAYAN to place one of its senatorial contenders on each Genuine Opposition (GO) led Parties that would be racing seats this coming 2010.
So far, MAKABAYAN had been courting one presidential contender to the next since April of this year starting with the Estradas. The 2 million voter’s ratio had been their sounding leverage in return for campaign resources and just recently their power-sharing ploy for 2010. The obligatory vote which would clearly be generated from MAKABAYAN linked PLGs such as BAYAN Muna is simply a bait out to get all presidentiables’ yeses. By the time either Villar or Estrada agrees to it, there is no telling if MAKABAYAN fulfills its end of the bargain. Besides, MAKABAYAN pledges to end TRAPOs stay in power and that counts Villar and Estrada. These 2 million voters could simply be narrowing-down its votes on all four MAKABAYAN senatoriables and not necessarily mark a ballot on either of these presidentiables. That way, MAKABAYAN would be nailing TRAPOs for good.
The good about getting all of this winnable presidential bets is being able to stay afloat once one of which reigns victorious. At this point, MAKABAYAN is not ignorant of the fact that none of the surveys mean something. The canvassing is too far off and it could be a whole new ball game right after the filing of candidacies. The political waters are far too murky at this point and MAKABAYAN is making sure that they remain afloat.
Other than that, Masa, Ocampo Casiño and Mariano would also enjoy the benefits of getting voters from its tapped Party’s electorate base. The 2 million would be a meager amount compared to what the Estradas or Roxas could eventually assure them. Funny, how other presidentiables salivate on the 2 million MAKABAYAN votes when it certainly could garner more and avoid getting entangled with a possible power-thug between Ocampo’s camps. Besides, in order to make room for MAKABAYAN these parties would have to set aside one of their own.

SATUR IS BAGGING THE MONEY FOR MAKABAYAN
It had been hard to believe that Bayan Muna’s Satur Ocampo is able to generate a campaign fund summing-up to 50 million peso minding his former claims of being one of the poorest solon in Kamara. But nevertheless, the country’s broadsheet (name of tapped newspaper) who had just uncovered a funding proposal for the infant political Party-MAKABAYAN and BM’s senatoriables would obviously be divulging a divergent viewpoint. Just like the TRAPOs we had come across from before, Satur had been bagging taxpayers’ money for better chances in the senate.
On the end of the day, the unsuspecting public had been the sole victim of Satur and his political line-ups under MAKABAYAN. The civilians that were incessantly extorted by Sison’s red armies in the countryside as well as those that had given him the privilege to own a part of the government’s reserves had been Satur’s “milked cows”. Thus, MAKABAYAN had in fact championed one of its ulterior goals, which by the way involves deforming democratic rights and stealing from the public while they’re wide-awake. Like the other money-spending candidates from before, Satur would gladly make this country pay him back not just in a billion but in gazillions once he get his most longed for position in the Upper House.
MAKABAYAN’s supposed “movement for change” as facts dictate ironically entails sucking-up from both Communist allies and democratic TRAPOs. It was far from what it projected to be particularly in healing forces and opening reconciliatory talks to generate an organ able to oust Gloria. Else, it was an agreement between vultures that waits for this government’s downfall. Be it for the sake of Satur’s friends in the Left or that of the dissipated TRAPOs under Erap’s wing who wanted no less than “prostitute” themselves for the “glory” of Malacañang.
Buying the denials of Satur of having been distant from the Communist Party, one would not doubt that this 1 billion is out of the pork barrels he and BM had been endowed with in three straight terms. Besides, there had been nothing less than intangible and lip-serving projects that BM had set up since its elective post in 2001. Just like the TRAPOs we had come across from before, Satur had been bagging taxpayers’ money for better chances in the senate.
On the end of the day, the unsuspecting public had been the sole victim of Satur and his political line-ups under MAKABAYAN. The civilians that were incessantly extorted by Sison’s red armies in the countryside as well as those that had given him the privilege to own a part of the government’s reserves had been Satur’s “milked cows”. Thus, MAKABAYAN had in fact championed one of its ulterior goals, which by the way involves deforming democratic rights and stealing from the public while they’re wide-awake. Like the other money-spending candidates from before, Satur would gladly make this country pay him back not just in a billion but in gazillions once he get his most longed for position in the Upper House.
MAKABAYAN’s supposed “movement for change” as facts dictate ironically entails sucking-up from both Communist allies and democratic TRAPOs. SATUR CLINGS TO GO FOR 2010 CABINET POSITIONS
Making a backup plan in every election turn-out was something Traditional Politicians (TRAPOs) do. This had been a fitting scenario whenever one politician wishes to cut his losses. Ordinarily, they would have to link-up with winning candidates in the hopes of getting post non-elective positions which by the way are also “influential”. Or else, sucking-up with this election top brass “before and after” the critical stages of the canvassing of votes.
This same line of post “electioneering” had been brought into play by Bayan Muna (BM) senatoriables- Satur Ocampo and Teddy Casiño. In early April of this year, the two who had vowed allegiance to the newly-surfaced political pool-Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan or (MAKABAYAN) were also extending links with former Pres. “Erap” Estrada’s Genuine Opposition (GO). Aside from Erap, Satur and Teddy are in close contacts with NP standard-bearer, Sen Manuel Villar and even that of Liberal Party presidentiable -Sen Mar Roxas. This had been BM’s allegiance roulette that not only stirred public scrutiny but of sounding reservations.
As planned, MAKABAYAN had bended its rule for Satur and others with the intents of securing political clout once the election end adversely on their cause. Thus, the need to please both GO candidates and even other presidentiables. Taking-up post election positions such as being a part of the presidential cabinet was MAKABAYAN’s end goal. This would be entirely different from their salivated senate chair, but still, it is capable of winning-out shared stewardship with the probable 2010 executive head. As such, Satur had pledge political “loyalty” here and there. Like how MAKABAYAN started-out extending its arms with Erap Estrada, who had been lauding his presidential ambition this coming election, another presidential hopeful by the name of Manny Villar had been courted by Satur. This and other dirty “antics” of MAKABAYAN is going way beyond cheap.
Infiltrating just about every political party existent this coming 2010 had been one goal of MAKABAYAN in its supposed fair share of cleaning the 2010 with partisan bull-outs and TRAPO influence. Liban sa maugong na pakeke-eksena ni Teddy Casiño sa muling pagtakbo ni Erap Estrada ngayong darating na 2010 elections, nagawa ding bigyan ng basbas ng MAKABAYAN o Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan ang lantarang balimbingan ng iba pa nitong miyembro sa iba’t-ibang Political Parties tulad ng NP at LP nina Manuel Villar at Mar Roxas.
Kasado na kasi ang hayagang pagkalat-kalat ng MAKABAYAN para tuluyang mapasok o kaya’y makahakot ng suporta sa mga liderato ng Genuine Opposition. Dangan kasi paraan ito upang hindi mapagsarhan ng pinto ng Malacañang ang MAKABAYAN kung kagyat mang matalo ang mga sinusuportahan nito.

MAKABAYAN: VOTES IN EXCHANGE FOR CABINET POSTS
Who would have thought that a seemingly patriotic alliance such as the Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan or MAKABAYAN for short is actually a group of blackmailers? This fact was revealed in a document recently discovered by Jaime Laude of Philippine Star who did a story on said broad political alliance to which progressive party list groups such as Bayan Muna, Gabriela Women’s Party and Anakpawis are at the helm. According to (writer)’s take on the document, MAKABAYAN precursors have been promising to deliver a million votes to several known presidentiables – Mar Roxas, Loren Legarda, Joseph Estrada, Jamby Madrigal, Manny Villar and Jejomar Binay – and are demanding that their proffered number of ballots would be repaid by the winning candidate with several post-elective positions under their newly installed administration.
Based on this document, it is quite clear that as early as now MAKABAYAN is already on its first phase of implementing a grand electoral fraud for the upcoming elections as their offer is literally the same as selling votes to the highest bidder or to any of the presidentiables who can offer the juiciest position after 2010. Gone are the usual exchanges of P500 bills-for-votes normally seen on Election Day as the MAKABAYAN has successfully caused the evolution of electoral cheating in the country. And, mind you the group is a big-time dreamer as they have explicitly demanded cabinet positions from all the presidentiables which would mean that they could and would wheedle out various “request” from their padrinos whose victory they would naturally claim as their making.
What is further appalling from this unholy alliance is the fact that these politicos have been eagerly seeking an endorsement from MAKABAYAN without really knowing that the organization is merely playing them for a fool. Unbeknownst to them, the group has steadfastly approached each of the presidentiables and is offering the same depraved offer over and over again. A portion of the document - “consideration to deal with or criteria: pinakamalapot na ang critical support sa kandidato sa pagkapresidente ang….resources, post-elective position (cabinet post) at winnability” – further proved how convoluted the grand electoral fraud of MAKABAYAN really is.
MAKABAYAN is even aware that there is a big chance that these presidentiables will be irked by their supposed “endorsement” and their attached “demands” that precursors behind said broad political alliance have even directed their organizers to keep mum about how they planned to milk every presidential candidate for the upcoming 2010 elections and how they planned to renege their side of the bargain. For the poor gullible presidentiable, he or she will surely lose a couple of millions as MAKABAYAN is also insisting this big stipulation under their “contract”

MAKABAYAN, a Deception for 2010 Elections "How Should the Public Guard Itself?"
The very essence of a democratic state like the Philippines is the right given to the people to choose candidates to run for public office which can be exercised only through elections. Elections are important events to the life of every Filipino because it is where they can express their sovereign will and exercise their sacred Constitutional right of suffrage which once exercised could best decide the future of our country. They are powerful acts in putting individual in charge of our future and who can best guard our fate because of positions of powers we put them in. But, the failure to exercise these rights may cause for the emergence of tyrants who can rob our basic and fundamental rights. Of course, this will happen if we allow every attempt to vitiate our right by individuals and groups hungry for power. But, how can we best protect these rights from deception? Will we allow that these rights be subjected to abuses?
Still a year to go, the 2010 elections have been exploited by some ambitious politicians and groups dreaming to be in power. This is very obvious when even our party list representatives who purportedly the representatives of their marginalized sectors, initiated the formation of a coalition called the MAKABAYAN with anti-government elements for the alleged “genuine change” in the government. They used the so-called “people’s movement for change” to misinform the public and to make it appear that their cause is in accordance with the long yearning of the Filipino people for a change. But, in truth and in fact, the “movement for change” is a mere attraction to catch attentions of other anti-government elements particularly the political oppositions to coalesce with them purposely to topple the government.
But, what seems to be alarming is the involvement of Reps Satur OCAMPO, Teddy CASIÑO and Liza MAZA in the formation of the MAKABAYAN. When we look at these individuals we immediately come to think of the CPP whose ultimate objective is to topple the government for the establishment of communism in the Philippines. This has been an established fact that the CPP is employing deceptive tactics to attain its ultimate goal of seizing the state power. The connection of the MAKABAYAN with the CPP is evidenced when CPP Founder Joma SISON delivered a solidarity message during the MAKABAYAN launching in Apr 2009. This showed that the MAKABAYAN is a CPP-sponsored organization whose agenda, although being carried out legally, is injurious and detrimental to the State and the Filipino people.
Well, it was not surprising because the proponents of MAKABAYAN are known militant personalities. We already knew who OCAMPO, CASIÑO and MAZA are. They are our Congressmen fond of street actions using the peoples’ money as their pork barrel in supporting concerted actions against the State. They are using their positions and our own money to destroy our own country just to push their personal agenda. What more can they do if they are already in the Senate? Will we allow them to continue stepping into our endowed rights and interests?
We all know that these individuals are “talkers” who did nothing good to our country. OCAMPO was even suspected as one of the brains in the multiple murder case in Leyte. So, why we should continue to believe them? They are tormentors attempting to grab democracy from the Filipino people. Obviously, they laugh when they won at the House of Representatives for the third times. But now, they can no longer entice us because Filipinos are not idiots to continuously trusting OCAMPO et al because of their obvious connections with the CPP. It’s time to put an end to their enticement and let our voice be heard in 2010 elections. We must not tire of guarding our democracy and preserving our freedom because they have been susceptible of falling into the hands of traitors.

SECRETS BEHIND MAKABAYAN’S FLAUNTED SUPPORT
As early as December 2008, the newly created coalition of party list groups made by Bayan Muna, Anakpawis, Gabriela Women’s Party, Kabataan Party, Act and Courage called Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan or Makabayan has formulated its rules pertaining to the endorsement of a presidentiable in the upcoming 2010 elections.
Knowing that it has significant crowd supporters that can be translated into votes which it has proven in the 2007 elections, Makabayan has been boasting their “electoral asset” to the different presidential aspirants to include giving a pledged of public endorsement to these personalities.
Among those spoken to include Manny Villar, Joseph “Erap” Estrada, Mar Roxas, Ping Lacson, Loren Legarda, Dick Gordon, Bayani Fernando and even Jesus is Lord Movement leader Bro Eddie Villanueva.
During this so-called talks or negotiations, Makabayan members have been asking for financial support – separate contribution for their party list groups’ electoral kitty and for the daily operation of Makabayan as a movement – and are also bargaining for an assured post election position in the winning presidentiable’s cabinet in exchange for votes from their ranks.
However, unbeknownst to the personalities they have spoken to, Makabayan has no intention of seeing through with their end of the bargain as they have no plans of ever publicly endorsing a presidential candidate.
They are merely leading on the presidentiables that they would be publicly endorsed and that they would have assured votes from Makabayan allied groups during the 2010 elections and yet all of these are empty promises.

SATUR OCAMPO, TRAPO IN THE MAKING
“The Murder of BAYAN MUNA for leftist-TRAPO Alliance in MAKABAYAN”
Finally rumors cracked fact with BAYAN MUNA launching Satur Ocampo’s senatorial bid alongside the Genuine Opposition bloc financed no less by deposed president Joseph “Erap” Estrada and supposed C5-Road “earner” Sen. Manny Villar last May 28th in UP Diliman. As speculated, BAYAN MUNA members are to contend with sufficing Satur Ocampo’s political ambitions by swallowing-in their long-abhorred ERAP together with now graft-riddled VILLAR in exchange for a “funding scheme” that proves vital to finance Ocampo’s early campaigns. Quite frankly, this “gamitan issue” between top brass in the Opposition and the militant groups of Ocampo is nothing but a usual “hobby” amongst TRAPOs in the government. After the “balimbingan” expect to see Satur Ocampo banging the streets once again lobbying against his recent “financier”, Erap.

In fact, the doled-out half a million peso by Erap during the April 16th pre-launching of Ocampo’s senatorial bid under the political pool MAKABAYAN served no less than a tip among the iceberg of “paychecks”. It is quite possible that the unliquidated funds and ofcourse the laundered millions during the Erap administration happen to what Ocampo and company are now “begging for a share”. Besides, it would be easier for these militants turned “political” stalwarts” wanna-be to play dumb with the idea of having the multi-million plundered money for their campaigns. It is ofcourse simple to deny.
BAYAN MUNA is clearly being substituted by the TRAPOs merging in MAKABAYAN. The “militancy” façade is actually not working for the said partylist group after the voters dropped BAYAN MUNA like a hot potato year 2004. As such, Ocampo is not dumb enough to rely on mere public perspective on activists being rightists; meaning the people trusting activists are ever right and morally correct. The people ofcourse took notice of just what these activists are up to. Had they lived-up to the reform they promise to uphold once they are sworn-in. More or less, Ocampo and others like him are incapable of hiding their flaws no more. Their three-year consecutive terms in the Lower House led to nowhere. Other than orchestrating rallies and gathering minors and paid participants to make a mob for street actions, Ocampo sure had done nothing else but walk-out during legislative proceedings.
If there had been one thing that Ocampo contributed to the current governing body, it would be no less than adding-up on the long list of “Traditional Politicians” whose loyalty stay with the ones that could better provide them of “power”. The alliance of the GO and BAYAN MUNA thru MAKABAYAN is one potential evidence of TRAPO’s age-old “political maneuvering”. Ocampo who would have gorged-out Erap’s lying eyes during the impeachment proceeding is now grooming Erap from head to toe. He has basically changed into another Erap lapdog.
Exploiting the members of GABRIELA, ACT and LFS is among Ocampo’s to-do list. He is out to make sure his “senator-ship” by hook or by crook; even if this means being Erap’s order-around butler.

Quite frankly, this “gamitan issue” between top brass in the Opposition and the militant groups of Ocampo is nothing but a usual “hobby” amongst TRAPOs in the government. After the “balimbingan” expect to see Satur Ocampo banging the streets once again lobbying against his recent “financier”, Erap.

ERAP, CASIÑO ABSOLVED ME FOR MONEY
Deposed president Erap Estrada found his sins so-called absolution with Teddy Casiño backing his next shot at the presidency. The staunch activist made himself a ‘servant” of Erap in exchange of not less that Php500,000 as an initial pay-off. It had been apparent that Erap won his “salvation” from Casiño in merely half a million peso.
Is not a sign of defeat that BAYAN Muna’s Teddy Casiño knelt-down on convicted plunderer Erap Estrada? Those stalwart enemies are now on locking-arms and even flaunting each others’ company. For the love of politicking and financial machinery, Casiño orders BAYAN Muna members to forcefully swallow Erap down their throats. For the pursuit of Casiño’s political ambitions, BAYAN Muna is to serve the interest of TRAPOs in the Genuine Opposition like chamber maids.
The newly-surfaced political pool-MAKABAYAN that is comprised of BAYAN Muna, GABRIELA, ANAKPAWIS and KABATAAN partylist groups and ofcourse the Genuine Opposition led by both Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay and Erap served as the nook of moral meltdown in the country. MAKABAYAN happens to be the apex of “political maneuvering” that gone from bad to worst. The group that is also campaigning for Casiño’s ascendancy to the Senate by 2010 claims it is anti-TRAPO when in fact it is simply covering-up for the TRAPOs who seemingly pay them millions. Casiño is worse than Erap. Sucking-up with TRAPOs to get into the Senate floor made Casiño the “dirt” shrugged on the rug.
Frankly speaking, Erap testing the presidential waters again despite the respite of the public is to be blamed at Casiño and company who by now traded their militancy to become first-class lapdogs. This made Philippine politics revolting. As EDSA Dos became part of the obviously neglected history, the interest to persecute Erap and the enthusiasm to have the tribunals taking its course died along with it. This was because we let people such as Casiño to dictate us on what and who to believe. We let Casiño speak for us. We let Casiño’s blander and “political speeches” deafen our resolve for what is wrong and fitting. We made Casiño believe that his supposed clout on public perception is enough to have him erring across Erap’s camp, taking adverse and opposing decisions like pushing BAYAN Muna to praise the former’s money and even bending Juan dela Cruz to the limit by supporting the presidency of the man who once abused his authority. Filipinos are not dumb to take-back Erap like his plunder was not an issue. Casiño may have bargained his loyalty for the senate seat, but the masses will think and act differently.
Erap-Casiño tandem for 2010 is what disgusts the public. The far-cry for reform remains elusive as politicking rule 2010. Not the so-called third force or the MAKABAYAN group pushed no less by Casiño and those claiming to be in the “right” are worth people’s trust. Erap is unfit for the presidency. MAKABAYAN-ASTM, COMMUNIST TANDEM “Reds Taking Control by 2010”
As political pools try and absolve themselves from the ruined TRAPOs, Communist hand is set to replace it by 2010. For example, try looking at the fielding of solons Satur Ocampo under MAKABAYAN with a little help from Estrada-led UNO. Satur is a bonafide cadre and the recently installed right-man of JOMA Sison in the CPP-NPA-NDF’s. That is, as Acting CPP Chair Benito Tiamzon wanted to oust Sison out in the Party. Are Filipino voters too ignorant and naïve of such a fact? Or are we deafened or blinded by this rich Opposition honchos who colluded with the Reds to cleanse their names long tainted with plunder and graft?
MAKABAYAN was a set-up of Communist’ fielded senators for 2010. They are made to turn their backs from BAYAN Muna and their campaign against the TRAPOs in particular- Erap for a stint at getting across the Upper House. As a “starter” MAKABAYAN would push for four cadres under NPC and UNO. Other than that, they are also mingling with extremist coup plotters thru the Ayaw sa Trapo Movement (ASTM), which was being funded by retired army officials and forthcoming presidential contender-Ping Lacson. For all we know, the government will soon be swarmed by Communist supportive solons who will then be pushing for a change in the constitution that would greatly involve the shift to Socialist-Communist rule.
Unfortunately, the Reds found their way-in in our constitution as TRAPOs in the likes of Estrada and Lacson adopted them in their midst. It is the other way around, if we must try to synthesize behind the alliances under MAKABAYAN. Instead of TRAPOs dictating the Reds of what to do, it is the witting and deceitful cadres that are playing with them in exchange for campaign funds and even electorates. Unfortunately, Sison thinks way beyond what Erap could possibly comprehend. The latter was clearly not thinking with his head.
TRAPOs only aim are winning the elections. Problems they might encounter afterwards are to be decided and thought of as they are seated in power. What they do next with their positions are clearly overlooked. This is simply the reason why politicking and flip-flops dominate our bunch of rulers. They would just have to jettison or shift from one plausible and famous political persona to the next to gain public confidence. Thus, governance was not a matter of how many laws one made and implemented but to whose political party and prominent honcho he was linked.
However, the Reds would surely know better. They think far beyond winning the elections. Satur Ocampo was to establish Communist connections as he tries to vie for the senate along with Teddy Casiño, Liza Masa and Rafael Mariano. Try to imagine what these subversives could do as they literally have the power to manipulate one of the highest seats in the country. If the KAMARA brought them millions of funds funneled down to buy thousands of arms caches for the NPA and even hectares of land and mansions for Sison and the CPP hierarchy, the Senate would serve as the initial progression of Sison in shadow-rule.
That would advent the downfall of democratic liberties and Filipinos subjugation to Communist tyranny. It would be Lenin’s rule in Philippine soil.
